Tile and grout before and after cleaning, showing dark soiled grout becoming clean and uniform
Real tile & grout cleaning work by Nichol's Carpet Cleaning.

Grout is a keeper of all dirt, gunk and stains.

We use only the best grout stripper and spray the entire floor. We then use a buffer to clean the floor or wall tiles. The grout between all the tiles is scrubbed by hand and if needed, we apply an acid-based cleaner on the grout as well.

Let us clean your bathroom's grout lines. We use a truck-mounted steam extractor to remove dirt and soap. We then let the tile dry for a day and then seal it with an oil-based sealant. If we are unable to remove the grout stains well enough, we can re-color the grout to any color you choose โ€” so even deeply set staining ends in a clean, uniform finish.

Our tile & grout cleaning process

  1. Grout stripper applied

We spray the entire floor with the best grout stripper available to break down embedded soils.

  2. Tile cleaned with a buffer

A buffer cleans the floor or wall tile surfaces evenly and quickly.

  3. Hand-scrub the grout lines

The grout between all the tiles is scrubbed by hand. If staining is severe, an acid-based cleaner is applied directly to the grout as well.

  4. Truck-mounted steam extraction

A truck-mounted steam extractor pulls dirt and soap residue out of the tile and grout.

  5. Dry a day, then oil-based seal

We let the tile dry for a full day, then come back to seal it with an oil-based sealant that helps the grout stay cleaner longer.

  6. Optional grout re-coloring

If staining is too deep to lift, we can re-color the grout to any color you choose for a uniform finish.

How does Nichol's clean tile and grout?
We use only the best grout stripper and spray the entire floor. We then use a buffer to clean the floor or wall tiles. The grout between all the tiles is scrubbed by hand and if needed, we apply an acid-based cleaner on the grout as well. We then use a truck-mounted steam extractor to remove dirt and soap.
Do you seal tile and grout after cleaning?
Yes. After cleaning, we let the tile dry for a day and then seal it with an oil-based sealant. Sealing keeps the grout cleaner longer and is part of every tile and grout job.
What if my grout stains can't be removed?
If we are unable to remove the grout stains well enough, we can re-color the grout to any color you choose. That gives you a clean, uniform grout line even when staining is too deep to lift.
Can you clean bathroom grout lines?
Yes. Grout is a keeper of all dirt, gunk, and stains. Bathroom grout lines are one of the things we clean most often, and our truck-mounted steam extractor reaches what hand-scrubbing alone cannot.
How long does the tile and grout cleaning process take?
The cleaning itself is done in one visit. After cleaning, we let the tile dry for a day before returning to apply the oil-based sealant. So the full process takes two visits.
